Happy February - eight years later!

Happy February!  Exactly eight years ago today I made my very first post on this blog.  When I see some of the early posts I am amazed by the progress that has been made in the world of digital die cutting.  I purchased my very first Cricut (an Expression) in November 2007.  Design Studio, the first software program for customizing and designing with Cricut images, became available shortly after I got my machine and I found a new passion for creating my own designs.  I began the blog to share the computer files for the images and projects I created and over the years it expanded in many different directions.

When I started to write this post, I discovered that it would be post number 2,000 - wow!  Reaching that post milestone has involved an incredible number of hours spent creating, photographing, writing and sharing with people all around the world.  I am happy to be able to continue sharing on my blog for as long as I can - if I get back to daily posting it will take a few more years to reach the 3,000 mark!

Blog Celebration boxes from 2014

Since this is my "blogoversary" month, there will be a celebration (with the usual goody boxes of prizes for three lucky people) later this month.  I need a little more time to get things organized but you won't want to miss it!  The photo above shows the nearly finished boxes from my last celebration in 2014.  The record breaking snow at two houses defeated me last year and there was not a 7th blog anniversary celebration, so I have even more things for the giveaway boxes this year.

My favorite part of the blog celebrations is reading what you all have to say in the comments when you answer the questions I post.  I am working on my list of questions now so get your typing fingers ready.

I have been busy making some new files to share - here is a little sneak peek.  Several people have asked for some "words and pictures" tutorials on how to alter images in Design Space and make them unique for your projects and I will be posting those later this week.

For those of you who have been asking about our little granddaughter - here is a new photo.  She is growing so fast - I think the newborn outfits will be retired very soon!

We have had incredibly warm weather here and nearly all of the snow has melted - I hope that the groundhog does not see his shadow tomorrow so Spring will come soon!
