  3. Amazing photos of an amazing town. Is this Concord? It really exudes nostalgia and history. Very romantic. I loved the fancy piece of metal that holds the shutter back. I've never seen those. Also, is there some meaning behind the straw hats? Thanks so much for the pictures. I love it when you post photos that you've taken.

    1. Hi Anne - this is not Concord, it is the Southern cousin of Concord - Williamsburg, Virginia. I am visiting family down here for a few days. The straw hats are sold in the tent and little girls (or grown up girls, I guess) can buy them to wear around the town. I just loved the way the ribbons looked with the sun shining as they fluttered in the wind.
I had never seen a shutter hold back like that either. I thought it was an interesting shape so I took a few photos. Details like this can inspire designs for other projects.
I am glad you enjoy the photos - I am hoping that we will have Spring flowers soon so I can take more photos in the garden!

  4. Dear Diane,

I just love these pictures that you posted. Being a transplanted New Englander to the West Coast, they remind me of my earlier years of adventures, sounds and smells of the East Coast. Thank you also for sharing your beautiful and wonderful talent and the goodness of your soul. Ginger V.

    1. Hi Ginger,
Thank you for the sweet compliment!
These photos were taken in Williamsburg but they certainly do have that East Coast, Colonial look. It is pretty here but we really love the West Coast as well - this country is full of beautiful places!
