New Magazine - Free!
I just have a very quick post today. I wanted to let you know that there is a new magazine called "Create" that is published by Scrapbook Generation, a scrapbook store in Springfield, Missouri. It is available as a free download and will be published monthly. You can find the first issue by visiting the Scrapbook Generation site HERE.
The magazine will focus on sketches and how to use them and each month the sketches will be interpreted by the design team from a different manufacturer. The January issue features the Design Team from Fancy Pants Designs.
Create also has a team filled with talented people - you will most likely recognize many of them (they are introduced HERE - scroll down the page a bit). There are articles on all sorts of papercrafting topics. The amazing Tammy Tutterow is a contributing writer - her technique article about creating color matched embellishments for your projects on page 97 is very helpful.
There is a call for reader submissions for the March issue - you must use one of the four free sketches in the January issue for your project. All of the requirements are on page 203. I haven't had a chance to read through the entire issue yet (it is 223 pages) but I was very impressed with the parts I've seen so far. You can read the magazine on line or download the PDF.
I have been missing some of the printed magazines I used to read - so many of them have disappeared. I used to have piles of magazines to sort through and would pull out some articles to save. One nice thing about digital magazines is that they don't create any clutter! If you really want a printed copy of a few pages you can easily print them but you don't need to store entire issues - more room for craft supplies!
The trees were very sparkly in our neighborhood today and the sky was bright blue - I thought you might enjoy the photo at the top of this post. I didn't want to post any images from the magazine without permission. I don't have any affiliations with the magazine or the store.
