News and Updates (vacation is over...)

Happy Tuesday!  I am getting back into the swing of things after a bit of an extended vacation while our family was visiting and we were enjoying a "staycation" with them.  I hope your summer is winding down nicely.  If you have school age children, they may already be back to school - here in the Northeast school usually doesn't start until after Labor Day (which isn't very far away!).

It was great to be together to celebrate our August birthdays.  My husband and both sons had their birthdays last week (3 in 4 days!) and our younger son's girlfriend has her birthday next weekend.  We went out for a special dinner and the waiter took this photo under rather crowded conditions (hence the funny angle).

I have lots of news to share - but first here is a list of time sensitive items...

Creative Memories Bankruptcy Update

Final online orders from Creative Memories websites must be placed by tomorrow, Wednesday August 21, 2013.   No orders will be accepted through the websites after tomorrow but the sites will remain online until September 30th for access to account information, download links for digital products and other helpful resources.  If you don't have a local consultant, you can see what is left by visiting my CM personal website HERE.

Digital product orders (books, calendars, mugs, etc.) will be processed through the Digital Center until September 23, 2013.  Although consultants had been notified that their contracts were cancelled effective August 31st, this has now changed.  It is not clear to me whether the company will continue as Creative Memories or under a new name.

Free Scrapinar on Color

Lain Ehman's offers a free Scrapinar each month and this month is all about C O L O R.  These Scrapinars are lots of fun and full of useful information.  I am really looking forward to this one!  Be sure to register by clicking HERE so you won't miss out on this free event.  Even if you can't attend live (I will be on a plane on the 26th) you will have access to a replay for a limited time so be sure to register and watch the replay as soon as you can.

True Scrap 5

True Scrap 5 is open for registration TODAY!  The True Scrap events are online live virtual paper crafting extravaganzas that last for two days and you can participate from home - in your PJs if you want!  There are 15 classes and 5 make and take sessions, a pre-event pajama party and even a digital goodie bag.  The videos are high-def and if you have to miss a few sessions, no worries, you have access to recordings so you can watch them later (over and over as many times as you want).

These online events are lots of fun and a great value - where else could you take this many classes from wonderful instructors with no need to travel or pay hotel bills?  You can read what some other people have to say about their previous True Scrap experiences HERE - just scroll down the page to see their reviews.

Here is a list of the Instructors for True Scrap 5.

While I have been "away" some interesting packages arrived at my house.  I plan to get crafty today and show you some new projects made with some new products...it will be good to get back to my craft room!  I hope you have a wonderful day.
