Ever since I took that class, I have been thinking about trying to do another painting - but just haven't found a class... I got some good news a few days ago - Craftsy is now offering Fine Arts classes.
They are launching six new classes with world-class art instructors who teach you professional techniques to improve your art, regardless of your skill level or preferred media. From landscape drawing to portraiture, watercolors to acrylics, these classes allow you to learn on your own time, at your convenience from talented instructors. Here are links to each of the new classes:
- Perspective in Landscape Drawing (Patrick Connors)
- Acrylic Landscape Painting (Bennett Vadnais)
- Portraits in Watercolor (Matt Rota)
- Narrative Portraiture: Painting in Acrylic (Micah Ganske)
- Drawn to Painting (Rob Zeller)
- Master Palettes: Exploring Color Mixing (Scott Gellatly)
Craftsy classes have a 100% money back guarantee, you can watch them whenever and wherever you want and your access to the class never expires.
If you haven't taken a look at all that Craftsy has to offer, click HERE to go to the site and register. Once you are registered, there are a number of free classes that you can take to try out the system. You'll see some of them listed at the bottom of the page when you go to the site by clicking on the link above.
I am taking a quilting course right now but I'll probably sign up for one of the painting courses next. Have you tried any Craftsy classes yet?

Beautiful painting. Love to see a photo of your quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marilyn Mae! The quilt will probably take a while - but I am trying to finish up some other UFO's so you might see those sooner...
DeleteGorgeous painting, love the waterfall! I have taken a couple of jewelry classes on Craftsy and there are also some freebies I've enjoyed like, sewing 101, using a torch to make jewelry> I love the way one can stop the video, rewind, go, stop; well, you get the idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a charcoal portrait and acrylic classes at the moment at the community college, so I'm going to take a look at the fine art classes offered at the Craftsy too!
Carmen
Hi Carmen, Thanks for the compliment - if you look at the original post it is amazing how the instructor took complete novices and showed us how to make something recognizable! A step above paint by number - now I have to move up from that level...
DeleteIt sounds like you've found some great classes. I also like the rewind and replay on the classes and it's great that they are in your account forever - do the class when you have time and no worries about expiration.
