St. Patrick's Day, Easter and more...
Happy Tuesday! Apparently there is yet another storm on the way - but there are also signs of Spring here. Some of the snow has melted (though there is still a good amount on the lawn) and the iris in the front of the house have started to show their first shoots.
St. Patrick's Day is only 12 days away - it's kind of a big deal here in the Boston area. This week while I am traveling I thought I'd link back to a few projects to help you with any preparations that you may be making to celebrate.
You might remember this card from last year. I started with an image from Dover Publications free samples and adapted it to create a cutting file for my Silhouette Cameo machine. You can find all of the details HERE or by clicking on the photo. Dover offers a sampler of images every week - you can sign up on their website HERE.
Twisted Papers has some wonderful St. Patrick's Day images - you can see them on their site HERE. If you are a newsletter subscriber, you will get a monthly freebie image or collages sheet and they also give free images to their Facebook followers. The vintage Easter card (don't you love that "avocado" background!) is available on their Facebook site now - just go HERE to "Like" them, download and say thanks!
In addition to the individual downloads or subscriptions, you can buy CDs and DVDs full of great images from Twisted Papers (see all that they offer HERE). There is special offer for this month. Twisted Papers just completed their first DVD, Turn of the Century Art and Illustration, which has a total of 975 images and 77 collage sheets. (If all of these images were on CDs, it would take over six of them). The newest CD is a second volume of Vintage Easter. This CD has 121 individual images of postcards and greeting cards PLUS 21 collage sheets.
Here's the special deal - when you purchase the Turn of the Century Art and Illustration DVD, they will automatically include the new Vintage Easter Volume 2 absolutely FREE (regular price $9.95). This offer expires the end of March. You can see thumbnail previews of the images included on each disc on their site - just click the red links above.
Don't forget to sign up for the March FREE Scrapinar offered by Lain Ehmann. Lain offers these free events each month and I have really enjoyed watching and learning from them. If you can't view the event live on March 21 you can have access to the recording for a few days afterward - but only if you register ahead of time HERE to get on the list to receive the link for the recording.
Lain will explore the ways you can use templates, masks and stencils with lots of great tips and inspiration. I have accumulated some stencils and masks but I have to admit that I rarely use them. This Scrapinar might actually make me take them out and give them a try! Click HERE to get all of the details and to register.
I have to make another quick trip to New Jersey and I am hoping that the winter storm won't interfere with my travels. I appreciate the understanding and support from all of you while I am preoccupied with family matters and handling the details of my father's estate. Stay safe if you are somewhere in the path of this latest storm - Spring can't get here soon enough to suit me!

Safe travels Diane. I hope the storm doesn't get in your way.
ReplyDeleteDrive safe. WE have had a rather mild winter here in West Tennessee but I still can't wait for spring. My daffodils have been blooming since January but there have been cold windy days so I haven't got to enjoy them as much as usual. I don't miss the snow(we don't get much anyway. We get ICE.) I long for digging in the dirt and snapping shots of butterflys.
