Time to go Shopping
I hope you had a lovely day yesterday. I know that some of you are not in the USA so it wasn't a holiday for you. When we lived in England it seemed odd that the kids still had school and it was a normal workday. We did celebrate with other American friends and there was also a wonderful church service at St. Paul's Cathedral on Thanksgiving morning. This service has happened for over 50 years - you can read a little about it HERE.
Today is "Black Friday" (in case you hadn't heard!). I may go to a few local shops but I prefer to do most of my shopping online - much easier than fighting the crowds.
Here are a few of the places I'll be checking out:
Blitsy has been having lots of giveaways and sneak peeks leading up to their Black Friday sale - the sale starts at 6:00 a.m. central time - check it out HERE (if you aren't a member yet, you'll need to sign up first - it's free).
Silhouette America has special Black Friday prices:
You can use the code BLACK to get 40% off select products, the Cameo for $229.99 and the new Portrait for $179.99. Add the code on the shopping cart page to see the discount
Also, all shapes in the Silhouette Online Store are 50% off from November 23rd to November 30th.
Cricut.com has a different deal each day for the rest of the weekend:
On Friday the deal is 30% OFF all Digital Cartridges. Be sure to check back to see the new deals on Saturday and Sunday. If you buy a new machine, you can also register to get the digital image set "Quilted Ornaments" for free (details HERE).
Taylored Expressions - sales started at midnight and the percentage discount is highest for the first hours of the sale - check out the list of discounts HERE.
Peachy Keen Stamps is offering 22% off until Monday (because Thanksgiving was on the 22nd). There is no code needed and if you spend over $30 (after discounts) you'll qualify for a free stamp set. Get all of the details on the site HERE.
Webster's Pages is having a warehouse sale next Monday, November 26th, beginning at noon Eastern Standard time. $25 for $150 worth of products...get the details HERE.
Don't forget about the Creative Memories "Stuff Your Stockings" sale. With an order of $75 or $225, some nice stocking stuffers will be added to your box for free. The sale continues until Monday. You can read all of the details in the post HERE.
There are many other sales - it can get a bit overwhelming to try to keep track. If you really want to save money you could take my father-in-law's advice. He says, "I know how you can save 100% - don't go shopping"!
As we drove home from the family dessert fest we saw several Christmas light displays. Do you decorate the outside of your house? A little or a lot? We enjoy the "over the top" houses but we tend to keep our decorations pretty simple and traditional. If you shop today, I hope you find what you want - have a great day!
