We arrived back home tonight after deciding that it made more sense to get home and repack and regroup before our son and daughter-in-law set off to New York for a few days on Thursday. Our day was consumed with one last trip to a lake to swim and one last trip into town to see a few things we missed before. It took several hours to pack up and restore order to the house before we left. As is typical for many rental homes, we had to supply our own sheets and towels and they seem to take up more room on the way home!
I really enjoyed seeing lots of colorful buoys all around the Cape. It seems that every time you turn a corner, there is another assortment of well worn buoys displayed as decorations.
Sometimes they were just tied on trees at intersections in the roads. I wonder who put them there?
Some of them were used to convey a message (no changes wanted by this Cape Codder).
More colors and patterns, this time on the fence at the flea market at the drive-in movie theater (yes, they still have one of these in Wellfleet!). I think I may have to find a way to use some buoy images in a project...soon. I will have some time to work on a few crafts Thursday afternoon when the house is quiet - I have been missing my crafting supplies!
Just a couple of quick notes -
I saw on Facebook that the Android version of the Tim Holtz app is now available in the droid store. I don't have a droid device so I am not familiar with the store. I found the app available to download HERE and HERE. I have added the app to my iphone but I haven't had a chance to mark all of the items I own and to complete my wishlist. It will sure be handy to have this information at my fingertips on the phone when I go shopping!
If you love using your Cricut Gypsy and want to have a back-up in case something happens to your device, there is a Gypsy bundle on sale at Cricut.com this week. You can get the Gypsy and quite a few extras for $149. Click HERE to go to the sale page. The sale was listed as "while supplies last" so you probably shouldn't wait until the last minute.
There is also another free set of images in the Cricut Craftroom this week - the digital Banners set. It's been fun to see which images will be offered as a freebie each week - I hope you are taking advantage of the opportunity to try these shapes! I think it is a good marketing tool for Provo Craft to offer these freebies - I just wish the Craftroom would work better for me.
The free shape at the Silhouette store this week is a sewing pattern for this cute stuffed animal. The image is also given in a format for a regular layered paper cut. I think this would be fun to make. Remember, you can download the Silhouette software and collect the freebies even before you get a machine. This way you can be up and running as soon as your machine arrives. You can find the store HERE.
I hope your week has been going well so far. The heat everywhere has been so intense. We did finally get a rainstorm so it may be more moderate here tomorrow - my fingers are crossed!
