Father's Day Update
I hope you were able to spend Father's Day with your family. My Dad is still in the hospital but I did get to talk to him a little (I have come down with laryngitis so I couldn't talk much!). I appreciate all of your kind words and thoughts and hope that he will be doing better soon. We had my husband's parents and niece over for dinner and our son came out from Boston so it was a nice day.
I'll share the photos of our neighborhood weekend project on Monday - we worked all day Saturday and the difference is amazing. I just need to add the "finishing touch" now that the paint is fully dry.
I don't think I've ever made a post without a photo. This rather random (but somewhat "masculine") photo was taken last June 17th when we were visiting San Francisco to make plans for the rehearsal dinner. It's hard to believe that was a year ago already!

Hope you and your dad both feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, glad you had a nice day yesterday. We worked in the yard building our new deck. It will take a good part of this summer. I promised myself that next year I am planting some beautiful flowers. Your gardens inspired me. Although I don't know much about gardens I plan on reading a lot on this during the winter months. I can't wait to see the mailboxes. I hope your Dad gets better very, very soon.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.

I, sincerely, hope your dad recovers very soon. It is not easy watching a parent ill and not being able to "make them well" with your love. I know how that feels. God Bless you and your family.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I will pray that he is better soon and out of the Hospital. I spent part of the day with my father. He is 87...He and mom came to have supper with me........I made him a card and purchased a couple pair of shorts with shirts to match...............God Bless you and and your family. I still read the blog most every day just don't have time to leave a message.
