Creative Charms Deal of the Month

I was asked to use the September Deal of the Month for my post on the Creative Charms blog today.

This deal is full of great items - 235 pieces for just $6.99!  The deal is called "Pink and Black Bling" and so I have been on a pink and black color kick for the past few days.

I used the Pure Blossoms from the kit to add some sparkle to a medallion from the Florals Embellished Cricut cartridge.  These faceted flowers are a favorite (among many favorites) in the Creative Charms line.

I used one of the silhouette shapes from the cartridge.   These layer with just a blackout and a design layer.  In some cases, the design pieces are cut in separate groups.  For this medallion , the border is cut and is separate from the central medallion.

The medallion is not totally symmetrical so you do have to be careful to be sure things are lined up correctly before you glue the shape together.  The medallion is pretty but a little bit boring.  Adding some of the pure blossoms gems will turn it into a special focal point for a party invitation.

I created a side fold A2 card from pink Martha Stewart cardstock and added a layer of of American Crafts Pearl cardstock that is embossed with a dot pattern.  The black and pink ribbons are adhered with Scor-Tape with the ends secured behind the card layer.

The stamp I used for this card is from the CTMH Art Philosphy bundle.  My friend Melanie sent me this bundle to review and I'll be posting more about it later this week.  I have to say that I was very impressed by the quality of the stamps - I have never tried the CTMH stamps before.  Melanie's CTMH website is HERE.

I used more Pure Blossoms for this card that I made about a year ago.  You can see the original post HERE.

The cards I posted yesterday on the Scrappy-go-Lucky blog (HERE) were also enhanced by items from the September Deal of the Month.  There are Vintage Jewels and Gradient Gem Stickers on this medallion.

The thank you card also uses two of the beautiful sequin flowers from the Deal of the Month - they fit perfectly on the flower cuts on either side of the sentiment.

You may be wondering if I forgot about choosing a winner from the comments on my last Creative Charms posts - no, I didn't forget!  This time, random.org chose the Creative Charms blog and the comment left on that blog that came up on the draw was from Debra (dj1952)

Debra, could you please contact me with your mailing information as soon as possible?  I'll be sending you...

...this package of Pink Vintage Pearl Brads.

Please stop over to the Creative Charms blog HERE and be sure to leave a comment. Once again, I'll  have little giveaway for someone who comments here or on the Creative Charms blog (leave a comment in both places to double your chances).

You do not have to be a follower to win, however, if you like my blog and want to show your support for my work, please do follow or subscribe.  I also have a Capadia Designs Facebook page HERE and if you "like" that page you will see my daily posts in your news feed.

I'll be driving home today and then I hope to be staying put for a while!  We got most of Dad's things moved or donated and he is very happily settled in his new apartment.  It was great to see him - I just wish we lived closer...

I love their stuff and the prices are great, but it doesn't help me if it can't cross the border!
