Craftwork Cards "Candi" at Scrappy-go-Lucky
Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today is my day to post on the Scrappy-go-Lucky blog and I have a treat for you. While I was at CHA last month I really enjoyed the Craftwork Cards booth and all of the beautiful samples on display. Sue and Julie encouraged me to take photos to share with Mandy and her customers so I have posted lots of inspirational projects for you to enjoy - just click HERE to go to the post on the Scrappy-go-Lucky blog.
The sample at the top of this post was the make and take project at the booth. I really like these dotted bits of "candi" and the way the silver spots catch the light. In case you haven't seen these before, card "candi" is made from molded paper. The "candi" bits look like brads but they have no legs. You attach them to your projects with sticky foam squares (called "candi-fix" and also available at Scrappy-go-Lucky). They come in a large array of colors and patterns and there are also shiny metallic pieces for the holiday season.
The "candi" works very well with some die cut shapes. For this make and take we placed them on a cut from the Beaded Square Nestabilities die - they fit perfectly. There are so many ways that you can use these clever little bits to enhance your projects.
Here is one of my favorites from the display in the booth - pop on over to the post HERE on the Scrappy-go-Lucky blog to see lots more.
Today is the last of our series of family birthdays but we still have one more party planned for the weekend. I have lots of wedding projects to finish up too - September is just around the corner. Happy Back-to-School to all of the teachers and students (and to the Moms and Dads who might get a bit more time to craft with the kids busy all day!). Our schools don't start for a few more weeks here in the Northeast but I am starting to sense the change of season - it certainly gets dark earlier!
