So much snow...and something sweet!
(If you are here for the Going Buggy Blog Hop please go to THIS POST to find your letter to help you solve the puzzle)
Good morning to all of you on the email subscription! I intended to have a full post ready for you but Tuesday nothing went quite as I had planned.
We had yet another 6 or 8 inches of snow and I needed to do some shoveling since it came while my husband was at work. I had help with the shoveling from my friend who was here to work on her son's scrapbook but it still took a lot out of me!
Just as it started to get dark, this plow went by and messed up the end of the drive again. Fortunately, my husband came home soon after this and was able to run the snowblower and clear the drive and walkways.
We aren't lighting the outdoor trees any more but we can't get through the snow to take them down!
So this was my main creative project for today. I will come back later in the day to write up the details but I need to catch some sleep before we go to pick up our younger son from the red-eye flight home from San Francisco. He goes back to college this weekend and they say we will have more snow before then ... I can't wait to get to LA next week!
I've never done anything like this before - can you tell which cartridge(s) I used?
(more to come later today...)

ReplyDeleteTOri :)
I don't know what cartridge you used but they look yummy. We just had snow and ice and we have a mess around here. I guess this is what we get for living in the NE. Spring will be here soon.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but better you than me with the snow. Sorry! We just had yucky rain this wk & I was glad it wasn't snow. I was tired of shoveling back in November - lol!
ReplyDeleteThe cookies look so good! No idea what you used, but they look so pretty.
LOVE your cookie picture so much that I made it be the wallpaper on my iPhone!! I guess Accent Essentials for the cartridge, but I always guess AE, so who knows. Have a warm day!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! These are too pretty to eat. I guess a MS cartridge.
ReplyDeleteI am in WI and we haven't had as much snow as you but I am so sick of it too. Take me to LA with you PLEASE!!!LOL
I think you may be on to a new diet fad. Make really yummy, fattening treats that are just too pretty to eat. It would work for me--(for about 5 mins.!) All kidding aside, the cookies are beautiful.
ReplyDeletethose cookies look amazing.. so pretty! I sent you an email I had a CM question.
ReplyDeleteStaci
They look amazing AND delicious!
ReplyDeleteI just AM NOT going to complain anymore about the weather in NC anymore - when I saw your pics I realized how lucky we are!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a clue which cart you used but these cookies are gorgeous - you are one talented lady!! TFS!

I'm going to guess Love Struck. I don't have it, so I'm not sure what's on it, but it's an educated guess. I'm also betting you used teh decorating paint or gel your friend used a few weeks ago. Looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI live in GA where we don't have snowblowers or plows. We got 8 inches last week. Even after the storm, we had too much ice on the driveway to even leave the house. Y'all might be tired of the snow, but it was such a novelty to us! School closed for an entire week, which was wonderful. I wouldn't like to deal with it all the time, but just a taste of it was heaven!
Thanks for posting every morning... you really are my cup of coffee with breakfast :)
I'm going to say Doodlecharms. We got 5" more snow yesterday then ice.Yuck!
ReplyDeleteI haven't a clue which cartridge you used, but I'm more interested in the technique. Did you use a Cricut Cake to decorate these, and if so, how?! Are these wonderful icing gel pens or paint -- and where can I get some??! OMG, these cookies are just so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a clue. I was trying to decide if these were real cookies or some you made on a card. Wow! They are gorgeous. Hugs, dj1952
ReplyDeleteThe cookies are beautiful! I can't wait to see how you did them. And wow... that's a lot of snow!!!
ReplyDeleteNo snow here, just rain all the time. Blue sky and sun peeked out today so far and it's so beautiful. Whatever you did to decorate those beautiful cookies I want to know. I've never had mine turn out as beautiful. Have fun at CHA, I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteThe cookies are beautiful. Sorry you have so much SNOW!! In VA we have nice sunshine and blue skies, but we might get some over the weekend. I think you used Simply Sweet and one of Martha Stewart cake cartridge.
ReplyDeleteTFS your page. vswaddy620@yahoo.com
Those cookies are works of art. With you Diane there is no telling ;- ) which cart you used. You can make them all do about anything you want. I too am more interested in your technique. I didn't even realize you used a Cricut. They do have a bit of a Scandinavian look to them though. Love all the great inspiration I get from you. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOh Diane I have to know!!!!! I tried to talk my future sis in law into using one of the limited edition Christmas carts to make some cookies with her Cricut Cake but but she never got around to it. But those are adorable, and I have sugar cookie dough in the freezer...
ReplyDeleteHopefully it'll still be beautiful when you get out here. The last two days have been wonderful here in Far Northern California. After the rain cleared up the fog was so bad for a couple of days that I couldn't see to the end of my yard.
Wow....these are way to perfect!!! I have no idea how you created them, but they are fantastic, and would love to have all of them to eat!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look very pretty!
ReplyDeleteApril

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I don't envy you with all that snow. I think I would want to hibernate by now lol.
