Cookie Packaging (and new cartridges)

(If you are here for the Going Buggy Blog Hop please go to  THIS POST to find your letter to help you solve the puzzle)

Thanks for all the kind compliments on the cookies I made.  I know that I can improve upon this idea and my technique if I practice some more.  We are expecting another snowstorm Friday morning so I may be snowed in and baking again!

I started packaging the heart cookies in individual sleeves.  There is no limit to the variations you can do for the simple treat bag and topper.  These two have ribbon closures.

Here are two more that are held together with gem brads.  These would be nice to give a crafty friend because they would have a little brad to use on one of their projects (after they ate the cookie!).

I'll try to come back and add the details later today (or tomorrow if today is too crazy with snow and packing for college).  I hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Yesterday was "Hello Thursday" and ten new Cricut cartridges were announced.  There are seven regular cartridges - All Sports, Baby Steps, Campin' Critters, Florals Embellished, Formal Occasion, Kate's ABCs, and Martha Stewart Birthday Cakes, and three Imagine cartridges - Bubblegum Stripes (pattern and color). Buccaneer (art) and All Wrapped Up (art).

The cartridges are all available to view on the Cricut.com site in the cartridge library.  Here is a LINK  to the page where you can download the sample sheets and the full handbooks to check out everything available on each cartridge.  As of late last night the Design Studio update was not available and it seem that the font pack update has reverted to the version before the last update with the new December cartridges.  You'll need to check the site and message board to see if the correct version is posted eventually.

As always, you can see some projects made using these cartridges on Joy's blog, Melanie's blog, Robyn's blog and Tammy's blog.  Joy has the flu so it will be a few days before her projects are posted but there is pleanty to see in the meantime.  I think there is a good variety of cartridges and some of these have been seen and are already available in stores.

  2. These are adorable cookie packages. I made megaphone cookies for my daughter's cheerleading team at the end of the season. I wish that I had found the pens you used for them. It was so hard to write with the icing. The pens would have been perfect to add all the details. I wish I would have thought to make little bag toppers for their cookies too! So sweet!!
    Happy Valentine's Day!!

  3. Love the packaging for your cute little cookies. We just got our snow yesterday. Roads were icy this morning. For any getting out in this stuff please be smart about the way you drive. If you are so scared that you feel the need to hit (slam on them) your brakes every 30 second please just stay home. This causes accidents! Sorry, just had to vent a little...can you tell it was a rough drive in today?
