Elegant Snowflake
I only have time for a super quick post - I hope you aren't tired of snowflakes! This is the snowflake I made a few days ago - it is one of my favorites. I thought I would be using if for my contest layout but it isn't going to fit the theme so it will be just another lovely decoration. I will never get tired of making these but I will take a break from snowflakes for a few days.
I have been working hard on my layout for the Creative Memories Cricut Cruise contest. Many of you have asked about voting. Don't worry - once the voting begins I will make sure you know where and how to vote(!) I hope you will like my layout and I will appreciate your support. Thanks again to all of you who purchased cartridges through my Creative Memories personal website and helped me meet the goal for the first stage of the contest.
I also did some early "Black Friday" shopping online today. I got some great deals and will be very busy exploring and sharing projects with all of my new purchases. If you were shopping online today I hope you were able to find the things you wanted.
I cut this snowflake at a nearly full page size. I haven't tried cutting in in a small size yet. I wanted to show you my "secret weapon" for lifting large and delicate cuts. It is a four inch wide plastic putty knife that I got for a few dollars at the hardware store. It is great for getting under the cut and separating any spots that want to stick by keeping them on the mat.
Remember, the offcut from this snowflake also makes a great page background. I haven't made a black out version of the snowflake yet - it will require some extra welding to fill in all of the spaces.
I have to keep working on my contest layout. I have changed my mind too many times to count. I think the version I am working on now will be the final one - it probably has to be since the deadline is Friday!
I won't make you guess - the cartridge I used to make this snowflake was Reminisce Accents. If you are interested in purchasing this cartridge and don't have a local Creative Memories consultant I would be happy to help you. You can order Reminisce Accents or Cheerful Seasons through my Creative Memories personal website - here is a LINK to the page.

Diane,
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the prettiest and most intricate snowflakes yet. I love it. Did you happen to find your ornamental iron cart on Black Friday shopping? I saw it for $26 at cricutmachine.com, and thought of you instantly.
I absolutely love this snowflake. I have WICO but I don't think any of them are as gorgeous as this one.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your layout. I know it will be wonderful.
