Laurel Punch Around the Page - Card #2
This bright and cheery card is 5 1/2 inches square and features a red 5 inch square punched with the Laurel Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set. There is something about the red and white color combination that just makes me smile and think of summer!
The center square is a 3 1/4 inch square of white cardstock punched with the Laurel set and turned on point. This makes me think of a tablecloth with a doily on it.
The charming Knitted Strawberries are from Creative Charms.
I used some strong foam circles to attach the stems of the strawberries and help make the embellishment more level and stable on the card.
I did not adhere the leaves on the red square and turned them up a bit to add to the airy feeling of the card.
The laurel leaves make a lovely lacy, nature based border on the card elements.

ReplyDeleteDiane this is a gorgeous card. I really like the design element this border system creates. And oh my those strawberries are delightful. You're right about the lacy feel of the laurel leaves; they way your turned the outside leaves upward gives the impression of a lace doily.
