This medallion is another one of the frames from the Reminisce Accents cartridge. I cut it at three inches and this is probably about as small as I would recommend for cutting such an intricate design.
Here is the location on the keypad. The design is set on point so a three inch size is smaller than you might expect (the three inches measures the diagonal and not the side of the square).
There are three layers to the frame or medallion. The top layer is actually eight tiny pieces that need to be added to the frame base carefully so that they line up correctly.
In this close view you can see how the layers are added. When the design is cut at such a small size it is tricky to get them aligned perfectly.
I added a flower gem to the center of the medallion. This is one of the Pure Blossoms from Creative Charms. I added a clear gradient gem sticker to the center of the flower.
I wanted to showcase this lovely cut and gem so I used a plain white card base and embossed it with the "Japanese Scales" A2 Cuttlebug embossing folder from the Asian Bundle. I probably will just write a note inside and not add a sentiment to the front.
It may be a bit easier to see the card in this photo with the black background. It is tricky to capture the white embossed front on camera.
