Angel Mural (and a cross to share)

Tonight we went to hear my father-in-law sing with the Heritage Chorale.  It was their bon voyage concert as they will be going to Europe to sing in Prague and Vienna next week.  Of course I nearly always have my camera with me and I took a few photos.

The church is very beautiful and a different style than the church we belong to.  There are some lovely angel murals at the back of the sanctuary.

When we got home, I edited my photos and  experimented with them in my Creative Memories StoryBook Creator Plus 3.0 software (still on sale HERE for $38.97).  The background papers in these images are from the "Jewel Power Palette".

I cropped one of the angel photos and created a button with a beveled edge that I can use as an embellishment.  I applied an oil painting effect to the image which gives it a soft look.

The church has a large and very distinctive cross.  I took some photos of it and created a .png file that is available to download if you would like to use it for your digital projects.  It could even be printed out and hand cut.

This is the low resolution screen shot - you can download the full size file here:

Today was the last day that I needed to drive my son to his internship.  It was a great experience for him.  Now he will start up again as a summer camp counselor here in town (our schools just finished  yesterday).  It will be good to get that chunk of time back for a chance to complete some of the things I have "in the works."   I spent a lot of time today working on technology issues - I think I have it all figured out now!

Here is a sneak peek at a part of something I recently finished - I'll share this project tomorrow.  I hope you are enjoying the summer weather wherever you are (or the winter in Australia!)

  7. Beautiful cross! Great job!!! I am using it on my Christmas card to replace the letter T in the word Christmas. It is a nice little reminder to everyone of the reason for the season. God's blessings to you & thank you so very MUCH!
