Thanks to all of you who left comments or sent me emails with get well wishes. I am much better today but I took it really slow and need to get to bed early. I found all of my notes for the butterfly card and realized it would take quite a while to write up so I will have to leave that for tomorrow.
I can let you know that the card was done with Ashlyn's Alphabet and I altered several images from that cart to create the medallion and the butterfly to fit an A2 card. When you use Design Studio the creative possibilities are truly amazing.
I did have a few requests for the file for this scalloped lace square that I posted at the end of last month. Here is a
LINK to that post. I have been trying to encourage my readers to try using Design Studio and create their own files by providing detailed explanations on how to make the files. I have gone back to the post and added the file in case anyone is having trouble following my directions.
I hope to be truly back to normal tomorrow - thanks again for all the kind words and wishes!
I love the butterfly card! When looking at your card it dawned on me that I was looking at this same butterfly as well as one from Indie Art today trying to figure out how to make a medallion. I have the AA cart, but not India Art which I may get. I saw a post on another blog where someone made a 3D butterfly using a medallion stamp and put it in a shadow box. It looked awesome! I figured there must be a way to do something like this with DS. I have played around with it some, but have not completed it. I am so glad you posted this and look forward to your directions. I would love to compare them to what I have done so far. Your sample and post has inspired me and given me hope (LOL) that I am on the right track... Many thanks! Hope you are feeling much better tomorrow. Take care.
