New things are coming....

I braved the snow and went to my quilt guild meeting tonight. I haven't been to a meeting for ages and I actually won the door prize.  Maybe I will be inspired to start sewing some more - or at least going to more meetings.   If I actually make more than paper quilts, I'll let you know!

I came home and checked the Cricut message board quickly and saw information about the new "sweet" addition to the Cricut family - it looks like it is a special Expression for cutting cake frosting.  There is a new "Cake Basics" cartridge and another new cartridge called "Once Upon a Princess."   I had written up a post about the new cartridges with links to the images and the PDFs of the handbooks. I went back to the cartridge library to check on the links and saw that they weren't there (mysteriously...)  so I will hold off on posting these until I know it wasn't a mistake.  I imagine this will all come out with "Hello Thursday" announcements, but I don't want to "jump the gun."

Tomorrow my projects for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot Sweet Treats Team will go live - I made all sorts of things and chose only a few for the blog post.  The photo at the top of this post is of one that I didn't include.  It is another full background page similar to the snowflake page from a few weeks ago (here is a LINK to that post).  If you make it you will have lots of hearts to use in your projects!

It is late and we have to meet our son's plane early tomorrow - he is on the red-eye from San Francisco.   I will share the file and other information for this page later tomorrow or Friday.

I am looking forward to seeing what other new things are announced!

  1. I was looking through the Princess handbook last night. At first, I was like, "Not another one of those cartridges." But after I looked at the handbook, I think I could get a lot of use out of it given that I have a 4-year-old girl. (I could do without the cupcakes though!)
