Symphony Day

Today was Symphony Day. We are lucky to live in the Boston area and the Boston Symphony Orchestra has very affordable tickets to attend their daytime rehearsals. You can buy these tickets in series and a couple of my walking friends and I got a series of six dates. Of course we couldn't make it to all of the dates, but we were determined to get to there today for our last concert of the season.

There was an amazing violinist today - she was so expressive and really captured the audience. There is an interesting mix of older people, young adults and some students in school groups at these concerts. Everyone seemed fascinated by her skills - I can't imagine how she moves her fingers so quickly!

I was so tired when we got back you would think I had been the performer and not just an audience member! When I got my mail I received the Artist Trading Cards from one of my trading groups and I thought I would share my card and explain how I made it.

I'll have to take a raincheck on the explanation part, but here is the photo of the finished card. I will tell you that there are many layers involved and the eggs do move around. I had another swap to finish up and I just don't have the energy to do a long post tonight!
