There was something missing!
I thought the frames in my last post looked a bit plain and then I realized that by adding some paper behind the open design, many different effects could be achieved.
I quickly created a file to cut an open backing square of exactly the right size - alone they look like this
Once again you can efficiently cut these by placing a 6 inch square of paper at the top of the mat starting at the 3 inch line. (If your paper is slightly smaller it's OK - just center it on the mat to be sure the cut will fit)
Above is the cut backing square on the mat and the photo below shows how neatly this will fit the frame.
Some very bright color combinations will really jazz up your projects!
